Purpose:

Aeration of water bodies in winter and summer. In winter, aeration protects the water body from freezing and fish suffocation, while in summer it improves the mineralization processes of the body, clarifies, and enhances water quality.

Equipment:

Installation and startup of the aeration set:

1. First, choose a location for the air pump. It is recommended to place the pump as close to the water body as possible to avoid greater air flow losses. The pump can operate outdoors, but it must be protected from direct precipitation and extreme cold. Install the pump in a sealed box (metal, plastic, wooden). Insulation of the box is not necessary, but it is essential to leave openings for air to enter inside. If there is a gazebo, sauna, or other structure near the water body, install the pump there. In both cases, ensure a safe and reliable power supply for the pump.
2. Hose. Use a 19 mm inner diameter pressure hose purchased from us or your own (do not use a watering hose). It is recommended to use a hose no longer than 20 m. Attach one end of the hose to the pump outlet nozzle and securely tighten it with the provided clamp. Take the air diffuser and screw the attached nozzle onto the hose. To ensure tightness, use the provided rubber gasket. Attach the other end of the hose to this connection and tighten it with a clamp.
3. Immersion of the air diffuser. It is recommended to immerse the diffuser as deep as possible (but do not exceed the maximum allowable immersion depth). The higher the water column above the diffuser, the better the air bubbles and the oxygen they contain dissolve in the water, facilitating the mixing of various water layers. The JAGER air diffuser is lighter than water. To immerse it, tie synthetic ropes to both ends of the diffuser and attach weights (recommended weight 0.5 - 1 kg) to their ends. Other methods of immersing the diffuser can be found, but this is the simplest and works perfectly. The recommended rope length between the weights and the diffuser is 20-30 cm. Submerge the prepared diffuser with weights into your chosen location in the water body. The weights will rest on the bottom of the body, and the diffuser will rise as much as allowed by the length of the ropes left. This way, the diffuser will operate without disturbing the bottom sediments and will not cloud your water body.
4. Plug the pump into the electrical network, and the aeration system will start its work. If there is no need to aerate around the clock, purchase a timer and set the desired operating mode. The aeration system is designed to work in both continuous and intermittent modes. Enjoy using it.
